This rectangular feature for the Villagio Inn and Spa has both a waterfall component and a fire component. Water is introduced into the upper pool basin is diffused underneath diverter plates to create a smooth surface that is approximately 1/6” deep.  The waterfall flows over the entire edge of the upper basin perimeter and falls a height of 2’-9” to splash down into loose gravel that is covering a lower basin.  Illumination for the fountain is provided by flames housed in a rectangular stainless steel “fire vessel” (by others) situated in the center of the upper basin and elevated approximately 3” above the operating water level to give the appearance of floating. The mechanical and electrical controls for the feature is housed in an RDP-2-SERIES direct-burial prefabricated fiberglass vault (pump station). The vault is located in a planter area near the fountain.
